Sailport - Not All Tampa Resorts Look Like This

Tampa travelers should definitely keep Sailport in mind the next time that they visit. I recently checked out the website for this beautiful resort and I must say that I have not seen a hotel like this before. This hotel, which is on Rocky Point Island, is great for both business travelers and family vacationers as well. It might even be suitable for a romantic trip, but I can't guarantee that.

Not all Tampa resorts are located on the bay like this one is. By the looks of the photographs, it appears that Sailport is right on the water. It is also located rather close to downtown Tampa, Tampa International Airport, Clearwater and St. Petersburg. The room rates are roughly 150-160 dollars per night, depending on the type of suite that you choose. This price may seem somewhat steep, but you have to keep in mind that you are paying for aesthetics and style when you stay at a place like this.

Sheraton Vistana - One of the More Affordable Hotels in Orlando

There are way too many hotel options for travelers who visit Orlando, FL and that is why I am always happy to provide information on some of the best accommodations in the area. The Sheraton Vistana Resort is certainly one of the more affordable hotels in Orlando but this does not mean that it is a dumpy place to stay at. I am actually surprised that the rates at this place are as low as they are.

The Sheraton Vistana currently has rooms available for 120 dollars per night, and these rooms are rather upscale as well. Not to mention, this hotel is located close to attractions like Sea World, Universal Studios and Disney World. I have always been curious about the Doubletree, because it was one of those hotels that I had always heard good things about but never actually researched. Well, recently I visited their website and now I have added one more hotel to my list.

My birthday is next month, so just for the heck of it I searched for available rooms on that day. For two nights I can stay at the Doubletree for 134 dollars per night. At first, I thought that this rate was a little too expensive. So I decided to take a virtual tour of the hotel to see if it was really worth that kind of money.

After looking at the photos of the Doubletree, I determined that this particular hotel is intended to put up guests who are mainly traveling on business. However, its large dining halls, fitness center, stylish bar and gorgeous swimming pool also showed me that it is a great place to stay during a Tampa vacation.

If you have a few extra bucks to spend then I would suggest staying at the Westin Colonnade the next time that you visit Miami. This beautiful hotel is located in Coral Gables which is located right near South Beach, Miami International Airport, Coconut Grove and Port of Miami. After looking at the pictures of this Miami hotel I am convinced that I must stay here at least once in my life.

2 great features that every room has at the Westin Colonnade are a bed and shower both manufactured by Heavenly. This hotel also has an amazing pool located on the rooftop of the building, and a Rotunda with marble tiles and columns. If you want to feel wealthy when you stay at a hotel then this is the place.

The rates at the Colonnade are not too outrageous either. A guest room with a king size heavenly bed starts at only 279 dollars, and this rate is for the upcoming weekend. This means that if you plan in advance you will most likely spend a lot less money.

Bookit.com apparently has some cheap flights to Orlando available right now but this depends on your definition of "cheap". Considering the fact that it is right after the holiday season it is no surprise that the fares are a little higher than usual.

For example, Bookit.com has a round trip flight from Charleston, SC to Orlando, FL for 253 dollars. I personally think that this is an affordable fare, especially since it is for a date that is in the near future. Once again, I would suggest that you put orlando.bookit.com in your favorites folder and keep it handy for the next time that you are looking for a flight.
